Museum Curators
At present, there are 30 Curators, including the Director, who have been seconded staff from other units of the University.
UPLB MNH Curators are yearly appointed by UPLB Chancellor based on their respective fields of specialization. Curators’ responsibilities include the supervision of the MNH holdings as well as research and extension undertakings based on their fields of expertise. Some curators are actively involved in some research projects of the unit, as well as research-related activities like expeditions and field works.
With the help of their projects, MNH holdings increase and more discoveries and types representing new species are acquired, raising the worldwide significance and status of the MNH. Also, they are involved in providing suggestions for knowledgeable and high-quality exhibits and displays.
Below are short profiles of some of the Museum's curators.
