Dr. William SM. Gruezo is MNH's curator for lichens. He has the rank of Professor 12 at the Institute of Biological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, UPLB.

Dr. Gruezo has a PhD in Plant Taxonomy (1988) from The University of Alberta and he is an expert of Biosystematics and Quaternary Environments.

His research interests include biodiversity inventory and assessment of Philippine plants with emphasis on updating conservation status such as endangered species, rare species, threatened/near-extinct species, etc.; collection, evaluation, conservation and documentation of germplasm of wild relatives of agricultural crops (and their ultimate utilization in plant breeding).

Dr. Pampolina is MNH's curator for forest fungi. Pampolina is presently an Associate Professor 6 at the Department of Forest Biological Sciences, College of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of the Philippines Los Baños. Nelson obtained his PhD in Environmental Biology from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. He finished his MS and BS degrees in Forestry at UPLB.
