Glai is a BS Biology student from the University of the Philippines Baguio. She worked as a museum intern from June to July 2016 for the completion of her Summer Practical Training Program (SPTP) requirement. She has always been fascinated by the sea and everything in it that’s why her ultimate goal in life is to become a marine biologist. She also wants to raise awareness about the value of the vast oceans and its inhabitants and the threats these have been facing over the past decades.

Joward is an Environmental Management student at Ateneo de Naga University on his 4th year in college. He took the MNH internship program as a requirement for his subject in his school last April-May 2017. He really revels in adrenaline-filled activities like jiu-jitsu and freerunning which really helps him pace with the persistent physical mandate of field works.

According to Joward his awareness on Philippine biodiversity and conservation has expanded over the course of his internship. He especially enjoyed learning under the various field the MNH has to offer especially, the zoological field works which he would like to see into further, he expressed.

Miguel from Baao, Camarines Sur is a BS Environmental Management student whose interests are almost everything especially the quirky side of mainstream and the mainstream side of quirky. Along with Carlo B. Trinidad and Joward B. Bautista, they are student interns last April-May 2017. He is an active member of The PILLARS Publication, Ateneo de Naga’s official student publication in which he self-taught himself all the skills the publication demands.

Carlo is a BS Environmental Management student at Ateneo De Naga University and he had his internship program from April to May 2017. He is fond of listening to music and spending his leisure time in nature for he is soothed by these activities.

“My internship experience here in UPLB MNH is SUPERB for I’ve got a chance to attend to their wide-ranging ecological lectures and to participate in their scrupulous and rigorous fieldworks at the foot of Mt. Makiling.” As he exclaimed. His experience here in UPLB MNH had an impact on him.

Jerick initially wanted to focus his skills on developing desktop and game applications but started to think of going into web development as a result of his experience in the MNH internship program.

A Computer Science student of AMA Computer College-Sta. Cruz campus in Laguna, Jerick acquired and developed skills in web development and data management using MySQL when he and his teammates were tasked to create the MNH prototype Integrated Collections Database.

May Anne, a Computer Science student of AMA Computer College-Sta. Cruz campus had her internship at the Museum of Natural History from January 19 to May 18, 2016.

Together with two other interns, they were taksed to develop a prototype of the MNH Integrated Collections Database which can make easier the storage and retrieval of the Museum's collections data.

Joseph Pangayao is a BS Education (Biology) student at Laguna State Polytechnic University-Sta. Cruz campus in Laguna. He had his internship program at the Museum of Natural History from 11 April to 18 May 2016.

At the Museum, Joseph was able to do taxonomic classification and identification of specimens, cataloguing and database maintenance, field works and participate in biodiversity surveys. Joseph was able to acquire skills essential in laboratory work and in documenting biodiversity work.

Alden Sinuhin is a BS Education (Biology) student at Laguna State Polytechnic University-Sta. Cruz campus in Laguna. He had his internship program at the Museum of Natural History from 11 April to 18 May 2016.

Alden was able to experience taxonomic classification, cataloguing, laboratory work, curation and inventory and participated in several field works.

Christian is currently on his 4th year in college taking up BS Biology at the Southern Luzon State University in Lucban Quezon. He just finished his internship at the museum this May 2015.

According to him, his work at the museum was fascinating and enjoyable but challenging at the same time especially his works on botany, mycology, and entomology. Also, he has got to work with different people from the different sections of the museum who taught him so much that made him appreciate biology so much more.

Panji is a fresh graduate of Environmental Science at the California State University East Bay. He was an intern at the museum in 2014.

According to Panji, his experience as an intern at MNH was great. He’s got to learn about species and biology in a Philippine context instead of an American context through his studies. He also got to immerse himself in a region that didn't speak that much English compared to the capital region so he got to practice a lot of Tagalog and meet new people.
