Glai is a BS Biology student from the University of the Philippines Baguio. She worked as a museum intern from June to July 2016 for the completion of her Summer Practical Training Program (SPTP) requirement. She has always been fascinated by the sea and everything in it that’s why her ultimate goal in life is to become a marine biologist. She also wants to raise awareness about the value of the vast oceans and its inhabitants and the threats these have been facing over the past decades.

As a starting point regarding her advocacy, she is currently studying the prevalence and the possible causes of coral diseases for her undergraduate thesis. She spends her leisure time reading novels, listening to music, and playing the guitar. She also engages in outdoor activities like hiking, swimming and scuba diving. Additionally, she participates in outreach programs conducted by the organization she is a part of, the Kappa Epsilon Sorority.
