Joellee is currently doing her internship at the UPLB Museum of Natural History. She is an incoming Grade 10 student of the Philippine Science High School - Bicol Region Campus. Although her hometown is in Masbate, approximately 220km away from Goa, Camarines Sur, she decided to take her secondary education at PSHS because it is a good avenue to hone her skills and to prepare her for higher studies.

When asked why the museum is her choice for the internship, Joellee said that it is one of the recommended institutions of their school that could provide her with a hands-on learning experience in research. She is enthusiastic about fieldworks because it is where the knowledge she has been taught with is being put into practice.

Joelle is an academic achiever and has been a Director’s Lister when she was in Grade 9. She also joined clubs in their school such as the Science Club, Alliances of Chemistry Enthusiast and the Sports Club. Her hobbies include reading fact and science books, listening to music and playing volleyball.

One thing that people usually think about her is that she has limited capabilities because of her size but Joellee says she is more than her size and can do the things other people do. That is why within her internship period, the museum can expect her commitment as she carries out the duties assigned to her.
