Staff Profiles

There are only 18 regular personnel (8 REPS and 10 Administrative) who maintain the museum's eight sections (each under a Head Curator) and the Director’s Office and assist in research and administrative activities and attend to its ever-increasing number of visitors.

Below are the short profiles our the Museum's core research and extension staff.

Prof. Juan Carlos T. Gonzalez is the current Director of the Museum of Natural History and MNH's curator for birds. He is also a Professor of Zoology at the Animal Biology Division of the Institute of Biological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, UPLB.

Michelle is a licensed Forester. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Forestry, major in Forest Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Marian P. De Leon is a microbiologist with a PhD in Engineering (Molecular Biotechnology) from the Osaka University, Japan. She also holds MS and BS Degrees in Food Science and Technology, respectively from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Jeremy is a BS Agriculture graduate from the University of the Philippines Los Banos, with major courses in Entomology.

Dave is currently a PhD by Research graduate student at the University of the Philippines Los Banos. He specialises in Entomology, particularly in ant taxonomy and distribution. Prior to joining the Museum, Dave taught agriculture and forestry courses at the Palawan State University.

Flor is a communicator with a passion for using ICT for development. He is a writer and editor with science, agriculture and development backgrounds and has several years of experience in journalism, semi-technical writing, and editing of news, features, technical and popular publications and documents; and publications management.

Jennifer completed her masters program in Plant Pathology from the Washington State University in 2011. Jenn took her BS in Agriculture, major in Plant Pathology at the University of the Philippines at Los Baños.

Julius is a marine biologist with vast experiences as an environmental management specialist, marine park ranger, researcher, and community organizer of several government and non-government organisations in Palawan.
