The Zoological and Wildlife Museum consists of more than 15,000 stuffed birds and mammals, more than 500 reptiles, amphibians, mammals and birds in liquid preservation, and around 700 shells on display.
This section safeguards the world-famous Dioscoro S. Rabor Wildlife Collection. Dr. Dioscoro S. Rabor (+1992) is a prominent zoologist and world-renowned ornithologist.
He collected about 60,000 skins which deposited in UPLB MNH, Mindanao State University Marawi & Silliman University. Some of his collections are also found in the Field Museum, Delaware Museum of Natural History, Bernice Bishop, Yale Peabody, Smithsonian & American Museum of Natural History.
The Rabor Memorial Collection at UPLB has 10,316 bird skins in 233 species, some specimens no longer exist in the wild.
