Dr. Anna Pauline O. de Guia or Pau is MNH’s curator for small mammals and currently Professor 2 of Zoology at the Animal Biology Division of the Institute of Biological Sciences. Dr. de Guia is 2007 PhD graduate in Environmental Resources from the Graduate School of Agriculture of Hokkaido University, Japan. She garnered her MS in Wildlife Studies (1997) and BS Zoology (1991) degrees from the University of the Philippines Los Banos.

Ma’m Pau has been teaching Zoology and Wildlife undergraduate courses at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Her research has involved survey and inventory of terrestrial wildlife species, especially small non-volant mammals, taxonomic verification using morphological and genetic data and, identification of conservation units for animal populations. She also has served as resource person in some training programs and presented her research work in various conferences.
