Research and Extension Personnel

Cristian is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Forestry: Forest Biological Science at the University of Philippines Los Baños. He attained his bachelor’s degree in Biology major in Ecology from the same university.

Since 2014, he has been documenting insect diversity in the Philippines, particularly of cockroaches. At present, he has described 4 genera and 7 species of cockroach from the Philippines, and co-described five new species from India and Indonesia. Aside from cockroaches, he has also worked on other Philippine insects including Collembola, Embioptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera and Hymenoptera.

He is a member of the National Research Council of the Philippines, Philippine Association of Entomologist, Association of Systematic Biologist of the Philippines, and Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines.
