This new handbook is a collection of 176 common spiders collected and identified from Hainan Island, China. These spiders, coming from 20 families, are presented in full colour. Leg formula and distribution maps have been provided when information are available. The 176 species are part of 400 inventoried in three arthropod biodiversity explorations in selected sites in the island between August 2010 to April 2012.
