Desiree Kyle L. Sabado is a 3rd year student at Mariano Marcos State University, taking Bachelor of Science in Biology. For accomplishing her Bio 198 course, she took her internship at University of the Philippines Los Baños Museum of Natural History in a span of one month and three days from February 12,2024 to March 15, 2024.

Desiree grew up as someone who cares and loves animals. She always appreciate the existence of this organisms and even the beauty of nature. Her passion in Biology started when she was young and began to read books and watch television about animals out of curiosity. Her knowledge in Biology even further enriched during her high school days. As she study her General biology subject she thought that being an undergraduate biologist will help her understand this world more scientifically.

The internship program have instilled her a lot of learnings where she was able to develop her skills and equipped with new knowledge and competencies. This training molded her into a person she is right now. Through all the laboratory works, practical tasks, and field activities she was influence on what decision she will choose for her career path. Her experiences on both the mycology and microbiology track will leave a mark for foundation and basis for her profession someday. The lessons and teachings made her a woman who is already confident, developed, improved and skilled enough for her next journey.

Aside from academe, Desiree also spend her time in artworks like painting and performing through singing. At a very young age she was into music and loves to watch KPOP music videos which inspires her to keep on improving her talents and hobbies.
