Matthew Xander A. Tano is a 3rd year student of Mariano Marcos State University, currently taking Bachelor of Science in Biology. He is yearning to gain experience and knowledge to increase his knowledge in his chosen field, he participated in an internship program at the UPLB- Museum of Natural History from February 12 to March 15, 2024, alongside his co-interns as a requirement for their BIO 198 (OJT) course.

He was eager and looking forward in this internship because he was willing and craving for more knowledge and experiences along his field in biology this is to enhance his skills and gain more knowledge that will help him in his future endeavors. Furthermore, this will suffice his curiosity and fascination of science the natural.
The Museum of Natural History offered him an opportunity to aiding theoretical knowledge and real life application. He studied and learned about Zoology (wildlife) and Entomology during his internship period, where not only did he learn about the wildlife and insects from the books, but contributed in by aiding to the museums goals in research exploration.

Matthew is curious and open to new experiences and has been to different shortcomings that he continues to try and compensate to achieve his goals and aspirations. He finds hard task as a fun way to keep himself busy. He also uses his free time to play video games and sports to gain some relief from the stress.

The Museum of Natural History has given him new skills that he has managed to develop in a new environment. Giving him solace for his ever wondering mind and love for science.
