Last 3 August 2023, three BS Biology students from the Bulacan State University completed their 300-hour internship at the UPLB Museum of Natural History (UPLB MNH) with an exit presentation at the OVCRE Annex Main Conference Room.

During the conclusion of their internship, Mont Vernon Andrei M. Tidoso, Jan Maria Paula S. Santos, and Rio Kristel L. Tumang presented a creative output and received their certificates of completion after a short program.

The museum served as the host training entity of the three students in line with UPLB’s commitment to upscale the students and staff of public and private universities and colleges as the Philippines’ premier university.

BulSU is one of the many universities in the Philippines which offers a BS Biology program. The Malolos City-based state university produces graduates with analytical skills and expertise in life sciences for service in diverse vocations such as scientific research, education, consultancy, and health professions.

From June 13 to August 1, the BulSU interns were able to experience a rotation learning on various fields of biology under the supervision of the different sections of the museum. Field exposure activities at the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve and the MNH Hortorium were also arranged for them so that they can do biological specimen collection and sampling, ecological observations, and other learning experiences.
